It is very possible that there will be a triple crown winner in horse racing this year. Big Brown has looked unbeatable in the first two legs of the triple crown. The story this week about him having a sore hoof will put a bit of drama into the next race, but I for one think he will pull it off, and become the first triple crown winner in about thirty years. A great feat for any horse and brilliant in my opinion. The last leg will be very grueling but I think Big Brown will pull it off. I will be glued to the TV.

Having spent the early afternoon watching the indianapolis 500 I was happy with Scott Dixon as the winner he ran a very good race as did the other top finishers. I do not follow open wheel racing very much so many of the drivers are not familiar to me, I used to know every driver and who owned which car in the open wheel circuit. Now I watch a little NASCAR and the Indy 500.

When I was young my grand parents called tomorrow Decoration Day, it was a big gathering day for the family. After a big dinner eaten picnic style we all gathered at the cemetery and cleaned the graves of family and placed flowers, after that work was done the ladies gathered in the kitchen and started supper and the men normally went fishing I really enjoyed seeing members of the family that we only saw once or twice a year, it was a good weekend for a young boy.

The price of gas has hit a new low or high however you look at it here in Nashville today I spotted $3.95 a gallon for regular unleaded, diesel is almost $5.00 a gallon. I can not see any way to make a living the way prices are going these days. If the price of gas does not come back to a reasonable level many will be homeless and out of work soon.
