Rabies have reared their ugly face here in the Nashville area again this summer, there have been a rash of cases of Rabies in cats this year. Most years it is more in the wild animals, but this year it has been the cats who are coming down with the rabies. We bought a real nice boxed set of DVD’s all of historical movies for our grandson David to enjoy when he comes over to our house. The great set includes, Portraits of American Presidents on 3 DVD’s and 2 disc about the 20th century and one about the American Indians, overall a great set for a youngster to learn from. I think that even some one who is almost over the hill like me can learn from this nice boxed set. I think I will start watching it tonight, I have the night off and I know I will be a few hours before I can get to sleep so a good movie will be just what the doctor ordered, to put me right to sleep.

Today is my oldest grandsons birthday and I wanted to wish David a very happy birthday. We did some serious shopping to find the birthday gifts that we got for him. He loves Spiderman so we got him a Spiderman jacket to wear this fall it is not heavy enough for winter but will work perfect for fall and spring. He also loves movies about trucks so we got him season one of the Ice Road Truckers on DVD. That is one of the few shows that I stop what I am doing to watch every week. Now we are waiting for the third season next year. Just wanted to wish you a happy birthday David from PaPa and Reen.

With my birthday coming up we have decided to redecorate the home office that we share and get some new bedroom furniture for our home. It also looks like my sister in law may be coming to live with us in the next couple of months along with her youngest daughter, so we need to get ready for that if it happens.
