New gear

A brand new military jacket has been on my shopping list this year, and this was a gift for me to wear when I play paint ball, and what i found was a great 5.11 Jacket and I got it ordered for me and it will be here very soon. I have found myself looking more and more for gifts for myself this year, I think it will be slim pickings for everyone except the kids this year.

LA Police Gear has a great web site filled with very useful military gear, that will be very useful in my paint ball gaming this year.

Turkey

We bought our turkey for Thanksgiving Day today and it is a huge beast, dang thing must weigh 25 pounds, maybe 30. It is the biggest turkey I have ever seen not on the hoof. We used to have some huge old turkeys on the farm when I was a child but we did not eat them, we always had one of the young turkeys for Thanksgiving, my Grand Mother said that they were tender and tasted better than the old ones. I love all the food and football coming this week and I can not wait to get this huge turkey into the oven on Thursday it will be terrific.

Moms new scooter

My Mother got her a new scooter to help her get around on and it has made her life so much easier. She got help getting her electric wheelchair from Medicare and it did not cost her a cent out of her pocket. The Scooter Store was so very helpful and they made this an easy situation for my Mom and that makes me very happy. The Scooter Store went out of their way to make sure this happened for my Mom and I can not thank them enough. Now Mom is very mobile again.

Stupid human tricks

Today I pulled a stupid human trick, I had to get out of the house early to get some work done and back in time to get my computer work done and in my rush out the door I forgot to check and see how much gasoline was in the truck. To make a long boring story shorter I ran out of gasoline on the Interstate and Lace had to bring a gas can to save my big butt. I know to keep gas in the truck but I have not felt so very good the last few days and it just slipped my mind, goes to show that even smart people make mistakes.
