Last night after our bi-weekly Elk’s meeting we got some sad news that about made me fall off of the Bar Stool that I was sitting on (much like the one pictured below) when the TV that is always on behind the bar announced that the Kennedy curse has hit the Kennedy family with the death of Mary Richardson Kennedy. She was the estranged wife of Robert F. Kennedy Jr and it appears that she took her own life, which has left her family and friends devastated of course.

After hearing the news the whole bar got quite, you could have heard a pin drop. We have been losing several member in our Elk’s Lodge and had just been planning our funeral ritual for a recently fallen brother that we are scheduled to perform tomorrow in which we just performed last week for another recently lost brother. Sad times going on all over right now. Makes you stop and smell the roses for fear that it could be the last time you have the chance to smell them.
