Not one light but two

Thursday, July 17th, 2008

On my truck I have two headlights on each side and last night at work not one headlight burned out but both on one side within ten minutes of each other. I have never had both lights on one side burn out within minutes of each other it was pretty amazing. My string of luck continues with my truck when one thing goes wrong enough things have to be wrong so the guys at the shop can charge me $800 that seems to be the magic total. every time I have to take a vehicle to the shop it costs me $800. I guess they need that much to make a payment or something. The one exception was when I took the truck in for an oil change and an air filter and that cost me almost $100, I have not been back to Firestone and I never will go back there.

Car wash

Tuesday, July 15th, 2008

With five vehicles in our fleet of delivery work vehicles, it is very important that all five look their very best at all times and it is pretty much a full time job to keep all five of the delivery vehicles looking good everyday at work. I have started to use Lane’s Professional Car Products on my fleet when we clean them up. In addition to the best wash and wax products on the market we also use car buffers to make them shine. We get a lot of rain here in Nashville and it is important to me that our vans look their best everyday.

I really like the way Lane’s Professional Car Products make my delivery vehicles look and shine, and I feel that adds to their resale value, and also and more important makes our delivery company look good while we are out on the streets. Giving our small delivery company a good name just on sight, we strive to work as hard as our delivery vehicles look.
Lane’s Professional Car Products has a 100% satisfaction guarantee, and have stood behind their top quality products since they began offering their products online in 2001. These are the same fine car care products that professional detailing companies use to get cars to sparkle and shine. I am very happy with the results on my small fleet since we started using these great car care products.

I-40 closed

Monday, July 14th, 2008

Interstate 40 East of Nashville has been closed for almost the whole weekend after a tanker truck with toxic cargo overturned near Cookeville. This is one weekend I am glad I had no plans to travel east of here. They finally got the interstate open this morning after almost 40 hours. They evacuated a two mile circle around the accident site due to the volatile nature of the poison they were hauling. Kinda makes you wonder what the stuff was and where they were taking it to dump. No sane state would allow this stuff to be dumped in their ground or and dump.

Haunted wipers

Sunday, June 29th, 2008

It seems every time it rains my windshield wipers quit working, then amazingly they will start by them selves and then stop again. Get in the truck with no rain in sight and they work fine. I think my truck is haunted. It has some other nasty habits but the windshield wipers are the most annoying one for sure.

I love my truck but if I can not get the windshield wipers fixed I may have to get rid of her can not be going on a road trip and have the wipers not work.

Cars with bumper stickers

Wednesday, June 18th, 2008

Just read a report that cars that have bumper stickers are much more likely to be involved in road rage incidents. The larger the number of bumper stickers the higher the chance they will be involved. Factor in the color, red cars are much more likely to be involved, add the use of cell phones to the mix and you get road rage times ten. It is almost not safe to go out on the road anymore. Better to stay home and knit than venture out to work.
