Student loans

Tuesday, June 17th, 2008

As it has been many, many years since I was in college, and I remember that student loans were the main reason I was able to go to college and I really appreciate the fact that student loans were there to help me. Now that my own children are getting ready to start their college experience I am so very glad there is still a great student loan program for them to use when they are ready to start school.

We have started looking for different student loan programs to get a feel for what is available and what we have found amazes me. Credit Loans has a great web site that has so very much information, it was almost overwhelming at first to see that much information on one site.

This fine web site was able to give me answers to all of my questions about student loans and to help my daughter decide which kind of student loan she would need this fall when she goes to college. The lowdown on student loans, was the most helpful section and encouraged me to go ahead and apply for a student loan for myself and to finish my degree that has been hanging for 26 years. I really want to thank this fine program for helping both of us get set up for our student loans and thanks for having such a great web site.

Summer camp

Sunday, June 15th, 2008

My oldest has decided that she wants to go to a surf camp this summer, and I am very excited, I think she will have a lot of fun besides learning to surf will be a blast in its self. When you pick summer camps for your kids you want them to have fun and stay safe and hope they learn a little from the experience. With so very many to choose from picking the best is always your goal, and I have found what looks to be the very best to me.

Surf Camp has so much to choose from every thing from surf camps to summer camps and everything in between including surfing lessons and over night camps. This sounds so much fun I wish we had a selection of great camps to go to when I was my daughters age. Check out the web site for Surf Camp at http://www.wbsurfcamp.com, the site is great with a lot of information and a great selection of summer camps.

I am quite excited that my daughter is going to learn to surf, I wish I had the chance to learn this great fun sport when I was young. Surfing is very good exercise and fun at the same time. The trip to California will be an adventure in it’s self, she has never been on a plane before and it will be a lot of fun for her. She will be staying at my sisters house while she is in California, that will be an adventure alone.

Credit Card Ratings and Reviews

Monday, June 2nd, 2008

Came across an interesting site this afternoon about credit cards called Credit Card Club. This site provides credit card ratings and reviews on all the popular credit cards. They have categories for the different credit cards including:

  • Low Interest Credit Cards
  • No Annual Fee Credit Cards
  • Balance Transfer Credit Cards
  • Cash Back Credit Cards
  • 0% Intro APR Credit Cards
  • Business Credit Cards
  • Bad Credit Credit Cards
  • Airline Rewards Credit Cards
  • Gas Rewards Credit Cards
  • Instant Approval Credit Cards
  • Student Credit Cards
  • Prepaid Credit Cards

I read their helpful article on how to know which type of credit card to use. It covers the types of fees and advantages of each different type of credit card. I didn’t realize that there is so much to learn about credit cards until I read the articles on the Credit Card Club website. They have dozens of informative articles and every adult who uses credit should read through these to educate themselves on the advantages and pitfalls of using credit cards. In today’s world - who doesn’t need to learn a few things about credit?

Online classes

Monday, June 2nd, 2008

People across the U.S. and throughout the U.K. will recognize the name Kaplan as a leading provider of education and career services throughout the world. Two things I didn’t know until recently are that Kaplan is a subsidiary of the Washington Post (newspapers) Company and that Kaplan offers online classes in affiliation with the University of Essex for degrees in Business Management, Sales and Marketing.

Taking classes online is a new and easy way to earn a degree with flexibility to study anywhere with no gea\geographic limitations. You can study from home, from your workplace during lunchbreaks, from a library or other public place, and while waiting for or using public transportation during your commutes.

Kaplan is offering Foundation Degrees which combine academic study with workplace learning, which incorporates real life, relevant knowledge and skills. Prior experience relevant to the degree program being pursued can be applied toward the Foundation Degree, which is equivalent to the first two years of an Honours Degree program.

Kaplan’s Foundations Degree Programs include Business Management, Entrepreneurship, Internet Marketing and Business Sales Management. If taking Online Management Courses is something you’ve been considering, perhaps now is the time to look into the Kaplan online classes. A visit to the Kaplan website can instantly provide you with a prospectus to download, a virtual tour you can view from your computer, an application and a request for a callback from an Academic Advisor.
