Loud noises

Our 7 year old grandson and his mother (my daughter) have moved back in with us and I for one am not used to all of the noise. With just me and my wife and our dogs living here for so many years it has become very quiet for the most part and quiet is a way of life that I am used to and to be honest it is the way that I like it. With us getting older and more set in our ways this might be a tough transition for us to deal with, but we are willing to give it a try to help them out of a bind.

Tragedy

The recent tragic death of local hero Steve McNair is still in the local news and on the internet too. I for one will be glad when this story gets put back on the back burner of the daily news coverage. It was a very sad story but the news reporters will not let it go. We have heard more than the national audience being that we are here in the city where it happened. Nashville should not be remembered for being the place Steve McNair had an affair and was shot dead over a lovers quarrel.

Keep on working

Every day as I trudge off to work I think that I should be on a beach somewhere with a cold drink and some sun tan lotion on me. I have been working since I was 12 years old and I am ready to take it easy for a while. I want to find a deserted beach somewhere warm and spend my time looking at girls and drinking. Maybe not the best of plans for retirement but to each his own. Oh did I say the girl i would be looking at would be my wife? What I would be drinking would be tea too, did I remember to add that?

Sail away

Today would be perfect to be on the lake in a sail boat. Only one problem we do not have a sail boat. I would love to have a nice sail boat but that would mean that I would need to learn to sail a boat and at my age I am not sure if learning a new skill craft would be very smart. I mean when you hit 50 you should be forgetting stuff not learning new crafts. In a more serious not I would love to learn to sail a boat I think it would be a lot of fun and something that is on my bucket list.

Huge relief

It is with a sigh of relief that we give up our newspaper delivery business, we have lost so much money the last few months that it is crazy. I am not sure what we will be doing now but it has to be better than getting up at 2 am 7 days a week, that is one part of the job that I will not miss at all. The people for the most part are good folks and they will be missed, of course there are a few I would not pee on if they were on fire and they will not be missed.
