After a long summer with very high gasoline prices it has now risen above $2.00 a gallon for regular gasoline. I hate to see the price of gasoline start back up, who knows how high it will go once it starts back up. Our small delivery company is having a very hard time making ends meet as it is and if gasoline goes back up where it was last summer I fear we will be seeing the end of all small business as we know it, and that would be a shame. For us and many others it would be disaster.

I have 2 more days to get my taxes done and I do not know if I can make it by April 15th. I almost never wait this long to start on my taxes but this year Io have been very busy with work and projects at home. I have all my reciepts and just need to add them up and plug them in to the forms, I hope I can get it done pretty quick this year, last year I had to get an extension I may have to again this year but I hope not. Well back to work no rest for the weary.

The price of gasoline has hit bottom and started back up here in Nashville. I did not think it would get under $1.00 a gallon and it did not, we made it down to $1.20 a gallon and I guess I should be happy with that. The cost of gasoline means a lot to our business bottom line and the lower it is the more money we make and thats what being in business is all about. I hope it does not go back to the high mark of this last summer it will kill my business as well as many others if it does get that high.

With todays USA Today the price went up to $1.00 an issue. I hope this will not bring down our sales, but as times get worse people tend to quit reading about the bad news and trying to have fun. I know I have not really read the newspaper since 9-11-2001. I get most of my information from the computer and there is not a lot of need to read the newspaper. I like my news current not at least a day old like you get in the newspapers. I used to read every word every day and I just have gotten out of the ritual. We changes all of our boxes to the new price and it took us over 6 hours and the newspaper did not think we needed to be paid to do this chore for them. Makes me think we need to talk to an attorney see if they are in breach of our contract.

We had to put the Tahoe in the shop this week to do some little annoying stuff that really was not worth a trip to the shop, but it needed to be fixed before it got worse and needed real attention. It seems that every time we get a little bit ahead we have a vehicle break down and have to take it to the shop. Every time we put something in the shop it costs about $800 to fix no matter what it is. This trip should be a lot less than that but you can never tell with auto shops. Let us hope this is the last trip to the shop for this year we are way over budget for auto repairs for this year.
