How does it seem that we always hear about movie stars and athletes that carry guns to the airport and get caught. How does someone with normal intelligence no remember that they happened to have a gun in the one bag they choose to carry on the airplane. The list of people who had this stupid moment in their lives is huge and got one more member today, when a member of the Tennessee Titans got caught at the Nashville airport trying to carry a gun on the plane. John Smith of Nowhere USA does not try to carry a gun on the plane why do the celebrities think they get a pass on this law.

Over the weekend we went out to the movies, something we hardly ever do anymore to see the new Indian Jones movie. I liked it and thought it fell into the same group as the first three, good strong movies.

Harrison Ford is a great actor when he has a strong script and a strong cast to work with. His recent work has been ok but not the same as his Star Wars, and Indiana Jones movies, which I think were great. Go see this good movie on the big screen do not wait for DVD.

Another Hollywood legend died this week, brilliant comedian Harvey Korman died this week at 88. I remember the role he had in the great movie Blazing Saddles as well as on the Carol Burnett Show in the sixties. I loved his work with Tim Conway and he will sorely be missed. There are not many with comedic talent of Harvey Korman.

Over the weekend I was saddened to see that Sydney Pollock had died of cancer. I have really enjoyed his movies over the years and his loss will be felt in both the movie world and our also. A sad weekend to be sure. His best movie with out a doubt was “Out of Africa” God speed Sydney.

If Amy Winehouse does not get her life in order she will slide from the radar faster than a stealth jet under fire. I am one of these people who grow more and more tired of the lame act that the celebrities keep putting us through. One gets arrested this last weekend for carrying a loaded gun in his carry on luggage and can only say I forgot. They deserve to go to jail and I hope some judge finally gets tired of the lame act and sens a star to jail for a long time.
