The weather today is simply beautiful and we are going to take advantage of it, and go to the lake and spend a little time on the boat. I really love this time of year here in Nashville, the weather is nice enough to go to the lake almost every day. I love to go fishing so that is a good thing at least it is to me not sure how the fish feel about it.
Now it is floods devastating mid America, it seems like it has been one thing after another this year. Mother Nature has had a very bad year. There are also fires raging in California again, the cycle continues. Japan just had a 7.2 earthquake, this has been a horrible year for natural disasters. Here the drought is over so it seems and we made it through another tornado season so far and gas is under $4.00 a gallon so all is not bad so it seems.
My oldest has decided that she wants to go to a surf camp this summer, and I am very excited, I think she will have a lot of fun besides learning to surf will be a blast in its self. When you pick summer camps for your kids you want them to have fun and stay safe and hope they learn a little from the experience. With so very many to choose from picking the best is always your goal, and I have found what looks to be the very best to me.
Surf Camp has so much to choose from every thing from surf camps to summer camps and everything in between including surfing lessons and over night camps. This sounds so much fun I wish we had a selection of great camps to go to when I was my daughters age. I am quite excited that my daughter is going to learn to surf, I wish I had the chance to learn this great fun sport when I was young. Surfing is very good exercise and fun at the same time. The trip to California will be an adventure in it’s self, she has never been on a plane before and it will be a lot of fun for her. She will be staying at my sisters house while she is in California, that will be an adventure alone.
In what was hyped as the chance of a century for a horse to win the triple crown, Big Brown laid an egg in the Belmont Stakes race on Saturday, there is no easy or nice way to say it he laid as big of an egg as I have ever seen in a horse race, he did not even show up at all. I was so very disappointed in his performance as were 99% of the people who watched the race. Let us hope the next triple crown threat has more moxie than the last one.
This year the family will be visiting with relatives in New Jersey, in July, we will be traveling there July 7th and 8th for a week. To keep the kids interested in this long trip we started looking for things to do in New Jersey. What we found was amazing, we found was Magic Mondays - Radio Disney’s hottest musical artists will appear live on Morey’s Piers. These FREE concerts will take place at the Radio Disney stage next to the Giant Ferris Wheel on Morey’s Mariner’s Landing pier. With show times are scheduled for 1 pm and 4 pm it fits any schedule.
The kids will love this free show and there is so much to do at Morey’s Pier, now all we need to do is find the best of the Jersey Shore hotels and get ready to have a load of fun and play in the water at the Pier. The free tickets to the concerts added to the great admission price of $10 to get into the water park is very exciting to us.
The kids have never been to the Jersey shore and this year will be perfect, they are good ages to be on the beach and They are old enough that their mother and I can have a little time together too. The perfect family vacation. We can not wait to visit the Pier and see the Free Disney Concert, it will be the trip of a lifetime.
