Every winter I go to the mountains of North Carolina and ski and ride snowmobiles, this year I have decided to add a snowboard to my winter fun gear. Is it not amazing that Tiger Woods keeps on winning the major golf tournaments, even when he is standing on one leg as he was this last weekend. I am not a huge Tiger fan but you can not help but admire the heart of the man. He is a winner and I love watching him work a course. Down the stretch he may be the finest golfer of all time and it has been a pleasure watching him work. Good job Tiger keep up the good work.

How does it seem that we always hear about movie stars and athletes that carry guns to the airport and get caught. How does someone with normal intelligence no remember that they happened to have a gun in the one bag they choose to carry on the airplane. The list of people who had this stupid moment in their lives is huge and got one more member today, when a member of the Tennessee Titans got caught at the Nashville airport trying to carry a gun on the plane. John Smith of Nowhere USA does not try to carry a gun on the plane why do the celebrities think they get a pass on this law.

With Fan Fair over it seems we made it through the week with no stars losing their minds and creating havoc in the city. Every since I moved here in 1999 it seems that the week of Fan Fair one music star or another has gotten in trouble while here in the city for the celebration. Along with the football players in town for the summer camps the music stars keep our police hopping.

In what was hyped as the chance of a century for a horse to win the triple crown, Big Brown laid an egg in the Belmont Stakes race on Saturday, there is no easy or nice way to say it he laid as big of an egg as I have ever seen in a horse race, he did not even show up at all. I was so very disappointed in his performance as were 99% of the people who watched the race. Let us hope the next triple crown threat has more moxie than the last one.
