Hair cuts

We took our grandson David on Saturday to get his hair cut and while we were there we decided to get our hair cut too. It was raining so hard it was horrible, the lightning was very scary too. We noticed a couple of trees on the way home that had been struck by lighting and I was very glad that we were indide during the worst of the storm I have a very healthy fear of lighting and the damage it can do a good friend of ours was killed while standing on his porch smoking and it was not even raining at the time of that storm.

Zoo

We took our grandson David to the zoo this weekend and he loved it. He has been to the zoo several times and he still gets a kick out of it, and for that matter so do I. It has been several years since I have been to a nice zoo and going to the Nashville Zoo was a treat. The weather was nice for an outing we got there between rain storms and the weather was cool and nice. I think David liked the elephants the best, he talked about how big and massive they were and that was his word a pretty big one for a 6 year old, he is growing up so fast it is amazing.

Football

My High School that I attended in Oklahoma I just found out is playing in the state finals in football. The last time I talked to my sister the team was in turmoil and did not look very good and then today she springs on me that the team is in the state finals, I was flabbergasted. I am very proud of the football team at Lavern Oklahoma and I would really like to be there to cheer them on but it will just have to be in spirit, Nashville is a very long ways to travel for a football game.

Mexico vacation

In August, every year before school starts back in session, we take a huge family vacation, mainly to let the kids have some fun before school starts. This year we are loading up and heading south to Rocky Point Mexico, this has been a vacation spot that I have wanted to go to since I was in school, many years ago.

This Rocky Point vacation is going to be one that we remember for a long time. We booked our travel with a great web site, Oceano Rentals has a vast selection of rentals on the beach and I was very excited with the price it was outstanding. They have everything from rentals to properties that the owners are trying to sell.

We will be staying at Casa de Dolphin Azul it is a beautiful brand new property that has four bedrooms and four bathrooms. It will fit our family of eight in it nicely. The trip will be one that the entire family will enjoy and the entire family has worked hard this summer and they deserve a nice trip before school starts. I think we will try and make this trip to Rocky Point Mexico a yearly trip for the family, it is so very nice to get away for a couple of weeks to a nice place that is right on the ocean.

Trade show

A couple of times a year we take our business to a trade show and try to spread the word about We Deliver Nashville. This time I am taking our trade show display to Dallas Texas. We have a new set up this year, we have went to a truss trade show display to show our graphics. This allows us to have all the information we want to get out to the trade show on a display wall, I think this method of trade show display will work a lot better than our old pop ups and table mounts stand ups. The Godfrey Group has done a wonderful job on the new display, and it looks so professional, I think it will be the talk of the trade show.
